Opening a Personal Account

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. Here's what you will need to bring with you:

• Two forms of identification — applies to all persons who will sign on the account
• A government issued ID with a photo — like a driver's license or passport
• A second form of ID — like a Social Security card, insurance card or credit card with your name on it and an expiration date that shows it is current
• A deposit with which to open the account — either a check or cash
• You will need to provide your name, current address and your social security number
